Look at the picture at the top of the site. It is a picture I took last year on a trip out of town. While working on the site I realized that it is significant especially today in history. Today is March 6.
Can anyone tell me where this picture was taken and what historical significance it has in relation to today’s date?

Fall of the Alamo. A victory for Mexico in the battle but the attrition and time spent there led to the eventual US victory in the war.
It goes as an object lesson for our Christian walks when we apparently lose daily battles. The war has already been won.

That didn’t take long!
And yes, that is a picture of a wall around the gardens at the Alamo, which fell Mar 6, 1836. One correction, the Republic of Texas (Texians and Tejanos) won the war for independence at The Battle of San Jacinto, not the US! :)
Good analogy, too! Even the battles we lose are important, but thankfully the outcome of the war is certain. “It is finished!”
“Remember the Alamo!”
