In this first message of our new sermon series we will follow the unfolding of God’s plan to seek and save the lost. Starting with the first words of the Gospel given in Genesis 3:15, we will move briefly through the genealogy of Jesus given in Matthew 1:1-16 to uncover “The Scarlet Thread of Redemption” as we how God worked through history to bring about the birth of His Son. We will also study a few of the prophecies given about the birth of the Messiah that Jesus fulfilled and end with a review of the beloved Christmas Story from Luke 2, correcting a few popular myths about the Story and looking at how the birth of Christ glorifies God.
