2 Timothy 3:1 But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, without gentleness, without love for good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Keep away from such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and take captive weak women weighed down with sins, being led on by various desires, 7 always learning and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, disqualified in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress, for their folly will be obvious to all, just as theirs was also.
False teachers love themselves above all else.
False teachers love money, too.
False teachers are proud, arrogant, and abusive.
False teachers refuse to submit to biblical authority.
False teachers feel entitled and are ungrateful.
False teachers are impure and perverted.
False teachers are not loving or compassionate toward others.
False teachers cannot be appeased. It is their way or the highway!
False teachers are liars and slanderers, like their father the devil.
False teachers have zero self-control, expect when others are watching.
False teachers are bullies.
False teachers hate what is good.
False teachers are betrayers.
False teachers are wreckless.
False teachers have big heads and egos.
False teachers love pleasure and hate God.
False teachers appear at times to be godly, but have no power over sin.
False teachers are to be avoided! They sneak into houses and creep into churches and catch people unaware, usually the weak and shallow, or young and inexperienced. They target those who like themselves are slaves to their lusts.
False teachers are always learning new things but never learning the truth. And even when they sound truthful, we know they are lying, because sound doctrine leads to sound living and a life that is not sound has not embraced doctrine that is.
False teachers and their folly will be exposed. When it is, pay attention and mark them, lest the continue to creep and sneak into new places without warning.
